La Nostalgie d'Amor by Horst Kistner

German photographer Horst Kistner studied photography at the renowned Lette-Verein Design Scool in Berlin. After 22 years of work as an acclaimed food and still life photographer, he started to focus on photography as art. Forced by his passion for mid-century furniture and influenced by famous American painter Edward Hopper as well as by filmmakers like David Lynch, Alfred Hitchcock or Roy Andersson, he recently became one of Germany's most noteworthy new face in art photography.

My photographic works are images of everyday scenes in their broadest sense. Set, props, costumes and the model create a strong cinematic light and feel with a slight illusion of a painting.
