Aero-Art by Stas Bartnikas

Stas Bartnikas is aerial photographer based in Moscow. Graduated from Moscow State University with a degree in journalism. Worked as a correspondent in one of the largest newspapers in the country. After the collapse of Soviet Union he pursued career in the development of various business projects in advertising and sales.

Photography is a serious hobby that combines his love of traveling with a passion for aviation. Past few years, he’s been actively engaged in aerial photography while flying in light aircraft and helicopters in different parts of the world. During this time he visited over 15 countries.

Stas is convinced that mother nature is the most sophisticated painter and he sees it as his mission to capture its beauty in its perfect form. He calls his style of photography “aero-art”.

Current selection features Icelandic landscapes. Stas believes that Iceland is one of the most photogenic countries when looked from above: combination of ice, snow, volcanic formations, glacial rivers, beaches and ocean makes for absolutely surreal and stunning sight.  Regular travelers are able to see only so much of this amazing place. Aerial photography allows us to see places that are inaccessible on foot, shows very different perspective and enables capturing the beauty of this country in its full glory and uniqueness.
